Who Is Kaizer Chiefs’ New Trialist?

kaizer Chiefs have a new face at Naturena this week, but who exactly is Cameroonian attacker, Julien Ebah?

The Siya crew revealed on Tuesday that the 26-year-old had started training with the Glamour Boys as Steve Komphela looks to bolster his striking department going forward, however, things have been put on hold slightly as the first team left for their game in Pietermaritzburg.

As previously reported, it remains to be seen how long Ebah will be given to impress at the club, although Komphela has no doubt done his research on the player having already requested he come for a trial earlier this year.

Ebah said no originally as he looked to try and secure himself a deal in Cyprus, and there was interest from MC Alger in Algeria too, although both those moves seem to have fallen away and he has now touched down in South Africa.

The striker triker has played in both the CAF Champions League and UEFA Europa League (qualifiers) in his career and scored 5 goals in 55 league games for his last club, Kapaz Ganja, in Azerbaijan.

Prior to joining Kapaz, Ebah played for Cameroonian outfits such as Union Douala, Les Astres and Douala New Stars, finishing as the leagues’ top scorer in 2015 when he bagged 16 goals for New Stars prior to leaving for Europe.

Komphela will start to properly run the rule over Ebah later this week following tonight’s clash with Maritzburg United.
