Sundowns To Return For Ngoma In January
Mamelodi Sundowns could look to come back in for Aubrey Ngoma in the upcoming January transfer window period, despite having three of their offers rebuffed.
Sundowns’ interest in Ngoma has been no secret ever since Chairman John Comitis released a statement in May where he revealed that Head Coach Pitso Mosimane allegedly contacted the player without the club’s permission in attempts to try and lure the 27-year-old to the Chloorkop-based club.
The CAF Champions League winners maintained their interest in Ngoma up until the final minutes of the transfer window on August 31.
It was revealed to Soccer Laduma at the time that Sundowns’ had three offers for Ngoma rebuffed by the Cape Town-based club. However, the Siya crew has since been informed that the player could be heading to Masandawana in the upcoming January transfer window.
Siya sources have revealed that Ngoma has a buy-out clause in his contract, which will come in to effect in January of 2018, with sources adding that the Brazilians will look to trigger the player’s clause.
The Bafana Bafana international is still however on the mend after undergoing surgery and indications are that he would have returned to full action come January next year.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Ngoma will remain with City for the rest of the 2017/18 campaign or if a move to Sundowns, or elsewhere, will materialise for the player in the upcoming transfer window period.
