Kaizer Chiefs started the season off badly.



Their key defender Eric Mathoho committed a professional foul which saw him receive a straight red card, taking one for the team as Chiefs was one man down against SuperSport United.



But Mathoho's sacrifice wasn't going to do any justice for Amakhosi as SuperSport United's Madiba goal gave the visitors a 1-0 lead. A few minutes later, Masilela picked up an injury as that wasn't enough, just before the half-time break, Grobler scored the second goal as they went to break Chiefs trailing 2-0.





Paez's goal made it 1-2 in the second half but it was too little too late as Chiefs suffered a defeat in the league.

When one looks at all this, really, it's true what they say, when it rains, it pours at Naturena.

Chiefs are yet to get their first win of the 2017/18 season campaign. It seems like the woes continue from last season.
