Mamelodi Sundowns trio set stay
Cuthbert Malajila, Asavela Mbekile and Mogakolodi Ngele set for Mamelodi Sundowns stay
Mamelodi Sundowns players Cuthbert Malajila, Asavela Mbekile and Mogakolodi Ngele look set to stay with the club.
Malajila and Ngele spent last season on loan to Bidvest Wits and returned to Sundowns where they have been training with the first team.
Mbekile, meanwhile, has been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates, but Downs coach Pitso Mosimane does not want to lose a player that is registered for the CAF Champions League. Mosimane recently spoke of how thin his Champions League squad is, so he needs every player, in case there are injuries or suspensions.
At the time of writing this article, sources close to the players had revealed that they are unlikely to move on transfer deadline day today.
With Sundowns involved in the Champions League, the likes of Malajila and Ngele could get some game-time in the domestic matches as Mosimane needs to keep his squad fresh.
