Chiefs Eyeing Gabuza

Thamsanqa Gabuza hasn't renewed his contract with Orlando Pirates, with his current contract will expiring at the end of June.

Pirates were willing to offer him a new deal, but the Sea Robbers are now assessing the situation properly. Gabuza hasn't played for Bucs in their last six league games, and hasn't featured in the Nedbank Cup so far. His absence is a blessing in disguise for Tendai Ndoro, who is in good scoring form for Pirates.

This hasn't been Gabuza's season so far, he has only played 12 league games with two goals (both against Chiefs) and assisted another two. Kaizer Chiefs themselves have a scoring problem up front, and they will be searching for strikers to boost their striking force.

Chiefs are known to buy players that continuously give them trouble, and this season Gabuza has been that player. Amakhosi currently have two former Pirates strikers, Bongani Ndulula and Siphelele Mthembu, who have been off-form since joining the Glamour Boys.

While Pirates have Lehlohonolo Majoro, he too has been poor this season! With Gabuza's future at Bucs uncertain, some believe he might make a surprise move to Pirates' arch rivals Kaizer Chiefs. Majoro is the last player to move directly from Chiefs to Pirates.
