Chiefs exit door looms for Komphela

Komphela’s decisions of late have been questionable especially after he made a sudden change in the team’s playing formation.

have revealed that Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela could be on his way out as management feel there is no progression in the team since he took over at the beginning of last season.
“Things are getting uneasy because the chairman (Kaizer Motaung) has complained that he cannot see where the team is heading under Komphela’s reign. As you may know, when a coach’s days are numbered at Naturena, Bobby (Motaung , the football manager) stays away from the technical team and he was nowhere to be seen on Saturday when they played (Mamelodi) Sundowns,” a source told Phakaaathi.
Komphela’s decisions of late have been questionable especially after he made a sudden change in the team’s playing formation and introduced a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 playing pattern which the players are struggling to adapt to.
“That could easily be interpreted as a sign of a man who is sinking and is just clutching at straws. He could have waited for the Christmas break to introduce the new style,” added the source.
