Teboho Moloi calm in search of first win since replacing Dan Malesela

The former Orlando Pirates assistant coach has overseen four straight draws since replacing Dan Malesela in the Chilli Boys hotseat last month.

"I'm not worried about that I haven't won since I came here, as long as I don't lose," said Moloi after a 1-1 stalemate with Golden Arrows at Princess Magogo Stadium on the weekend.

"They used to be hammered. Now we are playing the same type of football going forward and doing the right things and not conceding the three points. It is very important to keep that point because when the game starts you've got the point in your hand and why give it away?

"Rather fight for the two points that you don't have, but the point you have keep it in your hand, because those points come in handy when you look for other points."



Moloi felt three points were there for the taking against Arrows. Veteran striker Katlego Mashego opened the scoring with a curling free-kick in the 54th minute, but Abafana Bes'thende hitman Knox Mutizwa equalised 10 minutes later when he beat Daniel Akpeyi with a header at the far post.

"When we scored first I think a little bit of complacency came into their game and the discipline went out of the window because of the excitement," Moloi lamented.

"We were no more starting the point of attack, no more changing the pace and we went back to the previous style of play because of the excitement of being one goal ahead.

"We started knocking the ball on our left hand side and no more exploiting the right hand side, and Arrows then equalised. We went back to the instructions but it was too late."

Chippa, in 12th place on the table with seven points from seven games, next host Maritzburg United on October 18 at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
