Mosimane On Bafana: In Football Anything Is Possible
Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, Pitso Mosimane has shared some words with Bafana Bafana ahead of the country’s must-win 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying encounter.
The South African national team will host Burkina Faso at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, October 07, where Head Coach Stuart Baxter’s side will look to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking to Sundowns’ official website, Mosimane is confident that anything is possible in football, but the South African national team have to continue to give their best no matter the situation.
“In football anything is possible & I have seen things happening especially when the chips are down. We are an amazing football nation and we have done amazing stuff in football,” Mosimane said.
“We have a very good team to take us beyond World Cup qualifiers. We need to use this program seriously to build for CAF Cup Of Nations Qualifiers. We should not be short-sighted and have short-term visions like we always do. We have to give our best on this program but also not dismantle everything In case we don’t qualify. Patience, lack of fear, and belief are what we need," he added.
Bafana will need to win all three of their upcoming qualifying encounters against Burkina Faso and Senegal while hoping that teams at the top of group D, Cape Verde especially, drop at least three points.
The match between Bafana and Burkinabe will be underway at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, October 07 at 15h00.
