INDONESIAN AUTHORITIES KEEN TO DO BUSINESS WITH SA

Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies says Indonesian business delegates accompanied by their minister have shown interest in exploring investment opportunities in South Africa.
Davies met with his Indonesian counterpart at the 3rd session of the joint trade committee in Pretoria on Thursday.
He says the Indonesians are a strong emerging market and South Africa seeks to grow its relations with them to strengthen trade relations.
Davies says plans are being discussed on ways to promote trade which will benefit both countries.
“The investment relationship is practically non-existent. We see opportunities. At government level, we have undertaken a study to see where we can promote trade that complements the industrialisation efforts of each country.”
